As President, CEO and COO of Hair Systems Inc., William E. Covey Jr. is responsible for setting strategic direction as well as controlling the operations of the company. Covey has been instrumental in the expansion of the company to a worldwide manufacturer, developer, and packager of reactive hair care products and played the key role in the acquisition of the Bleach Blends business of Wallis Laboratories, based in Luton, England. The acquisition gave Hair Systems Inc. a larger International presence and accelerated the mission of the company becoming a "Worldwide" leader.

Bill has over 20 years experience with Hair Systems and has been involved in every aspect of the business. No one better exemplifies the dedication and willingness to work his way through the organization than this young executive.

Marjorie M. Covey

For the past twenty years, Marge filled the roles of Corporate Secretary, Treasurer, and Director while also functioning as office manager, human relations manager and controller, among others. During this time, she has been able to develop an exceptional relationship with customers & vendors, which has greatly benefited the growth and stability of Hair Systems.

Mabel R. Covey

Mabel R. Covey
V.P., Science & Technology

Mabel Covey is Vice President of Science and Technology and has overall responsibility for Quality Assurance and the Product Development functions of Hair Systems Inc. With over twenty-four years experience in the hair care industry, Mabel provides leadership in the company's commitment to quality.

Since joining Hair Systems in 1996, Mabel has expanded the Quality Assurance and Research and Development aspects of the business through various measures. These measures include staffing, equipment, implementation of policies and procedures to improve and enhance the company's ability to offer technical support and new technologies in our area of expertise to customers.

Prior to Hair Systems, Mabel served as the Director of Science and Technology for Soft Sheen Products, Inc. for five years. In that capacity, Mabel was responsible for the R&D of new products, several of which were successfully launched.

Mabel launched her career in the cosmetic industry with American Cyanamid's Consumer Research Center and has worked for companies such as Avon & Playtex during her twenty-four years in the industry.

Mabel holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Claflin College and a Master of Science degree from Long Island University.

John Read
Managing Director, Hair Systems Europe Limited

John Read brings a wealth of industry knowledge and expertise to Hair Systems Europe, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hair Systems Inc. He began his career with Laporte Industries Limited in 1960 and was with the company for thirty years.

At Laporte, John held the title of Engineering/Production Manager and led many major projects for the company, which included running the company's 8,000 t.p.a. Sodium Perborate and Percarbonate Plant. In 1985, he was responsible for the design, building and development of a new Denture Tablet Facility at the Laporte site.

In 1990 John moved to Wallis Laboratory, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Laporte group, which focused on the Hair Bleach business. There he was responsible for the design and building of a new plant, together with the task of heading up the production team. In 1996 he was invited to join the main board of Wallis as Production Director for the personal care business, maintaining overall responsibility for engineering in all areas of the business.

John has been involved in the production and sales of Hair Bleach for over 20 years. He has had constant technical and commercial contact with the key players in the hair care industry and has developed many strong relationships.

As Sales Director, John manages the UK operation for Hair Systems Europe Limited and has been responsible for the transition of all operational services from Wallis Labs to Hair Systems. His industry contacts and years of experience in the European market make him an extremely valuable addition to the Hair Systems Inc. management team.
